On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, pipe replacement work is scheduled to begin one-mile east of the S.D. Highway 45/S.D. Highway 26 south junction east of Polo.

On Monday April 29, 2024, work is scheduled to begin on a bridge over Snake Creek, located eight miles west of Mobridge on U.S. Highway 12.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will host a S.D. Highway 37 (Dakota Avenue) pre-construction information meeting on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at Crossroads Hotel-Huron Event Center located at 100 4th St. SW in Huron.

Beginning on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, traffic on S.D. Highway 37 will shift to a two-way traffic pattern in the southbound lanes in Mitchell.

The first of four temporary closures of Interstate 190 and exit 57 in Rapid City is scheduled to begin Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 5 a.m. MT and reopen on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 8 p.m. MT.

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will begin ashared use path reconstruction project on U.S. Highway 16A one mile east of Custer.
