The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in conjunction with the City of Chamberlain, will hold a public meeting open house on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. (CT). A short presentation will be given at 5:30 p.m. (CT).
2025 State Spring Load Limit Restrictions – Release #1
February 28, 2025
New spring load limit restrictions will apply to state highway road segments (at the indicated weight limit) as shown in the release. The effective date of any load restriction is determined by weather and road conditions.

The South Dakota Transportation Commission awarded 17 preservation, rehabilitation, and replacement Bridge Improvement Grants (BIG) totaling approximately $16.6 million at the recent commission meeting held in Pierre.
