Public Meeting Scheduled to Review Ethan Master Transportation Plan Preliminary Recommendations

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in collaboration with the town of Ethan, will hold a public meeting open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (CT) on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at the Town Hall located at 218 W. Main St. in Ethan.
Temporary Traffic Devices and Speed Reductions to be Placed During 2026 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

The 86th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is scheduled for Aug. 7-16, 2026. With increased traffic volumes expected during the annual Rally, the SDDOT will activate temporary traffic signals and place speed limit reductions.
Closure Scheduled for S.D. Highway 11 and 258th Street Intersection Near Corson

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the intersection of S.D. Highway 11 and 258th Street (County Highway 130) will close to complete grading and asphalt pavement near Corson. This intersection is anticipated to be closed until Friday, Oct. 16, 2026.
