NOTICE OF SALE
The South Dakota Department of Transportation will offer the following property for sale at l :00 p.m. public auction on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
Lot "V" in the SEl/4 SWI/4 of Section 15, Township 128 North, Range 53 West of the 5th P.M., Marshall County, South Dakota. (contains 4.63 acres)
Minimum Bid: $37,000
The sale will be held at the property site located on the north side of Hwy 25 on the east edge of Veblen, SD.
Lot "V" contains mostly level land with scattered trees. A Zone A and Zone X floodplain designation is due to areas of low wetlands near a creek. A 20-foot-wide City of Veblen sewer main permanent easement is located in the southwest portion of the property.
The property is zoned for residential use in Veblen city limits and access is from Hwy 25.
A $3,000 down payment must be submitted by the successful bidder and the balance is to be paid within sixty days. The property will not be sold for less than the minimum bid value and the State reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Final closing and conveyance will be by Quit Claim Deed.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation offers the following property for sale:
Lot Cl in the SWl/4 of Section 30, Township 93 North, Range 48 West of the 5th P.M., Union County, South Dakota. (contains 7.21 acres) Sale Price: $4,800
The property is located on the south side of Hwy 48, west of both the Big Sioux River and Akron, Iowa.
Lot C 1 is irregularly shaped flatland heavily populated with mature trees and currently has a stable population of deer. Property location is in a FEMA 100 Floodplain and restricts the removal of live trees.
The property does not contain developed utilities, but rural water and electric are in the area. Zoning is "A" Agricultural District. DOT will allow future access to Hwy 48 if requested, but will not participate in the cost of access construction.
A $2,000 down payment must be submitted for prope11y purchase and the balance is to be paid within sixty days. The property will not be sold for less than $4,800. Final closing and conveyance will be by Quit Claim Deed.
