Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

Important Announcement

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), which serves as the Unified Certification Program (UCP) for the State of South Dakota, has completed the reevaluation process for all interested in state Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) under the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Interim Final Rule (IFR). Any in state firm that was not reevaluated during this period remains eligible for reevaluation; however, such firms will remain in inactive status until all required documentation has been submitted for review.

The DBE Directory has been reactivated and now reflects all currently certified firms. Please refer to the DBE Directory tab below to view the directory.

SDDOT is currently in a transition period due to implementation of the IFR and is actively updating all documentation that does not meet IFR requirements. Once the DBE Program is fully operational, all contractors and subcontractors will receive a notification through the contractor listserv.

SDDOT is also accepting new In State DBE/ACDBE certification applications as well as Interstate DBE/ACDBE certification applications. Please refer to the appropriate sections below for information regarding required documentation.
