Who to look out for when expanded Move Over law takes effect - Dakota News Now

South Dakota’s new Move Over law is expanding at the start of the month to enhance safety for more personnel working on highway shoulders. For over twenty years, South Dakotans were told to move over for emergency vehicles, and now, starting in July, this will include all vehicles, adding those with flashing blue, yellow, or amber lights.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) version of March Madness is now over. SDDOT hosts its own bracket during the month of March, but instead of brackets filled with names of college basketball teams, they’re names of snow plows submitted by kids from all over South Dakota. This year’s bracket expanded as a battle between South Dakota and North Dakota, both holding their own brackets, with the two prevailing snow plows from each state facing off in the championship.
