Project Updates:

Sept. 3, 2025:

On Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, traffic control will be switched to allow motorists to utilize the newly constructed eastern most two lanes on the southbound Interstate 29 structures over 12th Street and the Ellis & Eastern Railroad.
 
This configuration is anticipated to be in place until Friday, Oct.10, 2025, to allow for work on the western most two lanes of southbound I-29 structures over 12th Street and the Ellis & Eastern Railroad. Upon completion, traffic control will be removed and traffic will be restored to their respective lanes.

Sept. 17, 2025: 

Sept. 15 – Oct. 15, 2025, Completed Work:

I-29 northbound bridge over Skunk Creek

• Phase 2 (west lanes) pile repair was completed. Work continued on approach slabs and mainline concrete paving.

I-29 southbound bridge over Skunk Creek

• Phase 2 (west lanes) pile repair was completed. Work continued on approach slabs and mainline concrete paving.

I-29 southbound bridge over Ellis and Eastern Railroad

• Phase 1 (west lanes) was completed. Traffic was shifted to the east lanes, and removals began for Phase 2 (west lanes).

I-29 southbound bridge over 12th Street

• Phase 1 (west lanes) was completed. Traffic was shifted to the east lanes, and removals began for Phase 2 (west lanes).

Anticipated Work Oct. 15 – Nov. 15, 2025:

I-29 northbound bridge over Skunk Creek

• Complete all Phase 2 (west lanes) mainline concrete paving and open to traffic.

I-29 southbound bridge over Skunk Creek

• Complete all Phase 2 (west lanes) mainline concrete paving and open to traffic.

I-29 southbound bridge over Ellis and Eastern Railroad

• Complete Phase 2 (west lanes) removals and finish approach and mainline concrete paving.

I-29 southbound bridge over 12th Street

• Complete Phase 2 (west lanes) removals and finish approach and mainline concrete paving.
