Project Timeline:

Summer 2025 - Fall 2025

Project Updates:

Sept. 19, 2025:

Sept. 15, 2025 – Oct. 15, 2025, Completed Work: The weigh-in-motion scale has been completed and will remain the only section of U.S. Highway 14 between Iroquois and De Smet with PCC pavement. Rubblizing and repaving began west of De Smet, creating intermittent traffic interruptions as two lifts of asphalt concrete (AC) pavement are placed in both eastbound and westbound lanes. Flaggers and a pilot vehicle are guiding traffic through active paving operations.

Anticipated Work Oct. 15, 2025 – Nov. 15, 2025: AC paving will continue, weather permitting, in both directions on U.S. Highway 14 between De Smet and Iroquois. Single-lane traffic will remain in place with flaggers and a pilot vehicle directing motorists through work zones. All work is dependent on temperature and weather conditions, so travelers are encouraged to plan accordingly.
