Project Updates:

Aug. 27, 2025:

July 15, 2025 – Aug. 15, 2025, Completed Work:
Shoulder grading operations began in early August, along with pavement removal for a weigh-in-motion site in the eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 14 west of Manchester. Lane closures, pilot cars, flaggers, and mobile signals are being used throughout the work zones along U.S. Highway 14, with locations and durations varying. Lighting conduits and pole bases are also being installed along U.S. Highway 14 and S.D. Highway 25 within De Smet.

Anticipated Work Aug. 15, 2025 – Sept. 15, 2025:
Shoulder grading will continue along U.S. Highway 14 in preparation for pavement rubblizing and repaving operations. Work on the weigh-in-motion site in the eastbound lane will proceed once grading and electrical components are completed prior to paving. Motorists should expect delays along U.S. Highway 14 between Iroquois and Lake Preston, as the work is being performed without a full closure. Installation of lighting conduits, bases, and poles will also continue on U.S. Highway 14 and S.D. Highway 25 within De Smet.
