Project Summary:

The project will replace and upgrade all drainage structures leading to improved drainage. The project will be fully regraded cutting hills and filling valleys leading to improved sight distance. The project will include adding shoulder width to the segment.

Project Updates:

June 23, 2025: 

May 15, 2025 – June 15, 2025, Completed Work: The contractor has completed grading work between 470th Avenue and 469th Avenue and final grade staking has been completed there. Borrow filling is underway in the deep fill from 469th Avenue to 468th Avenue. The contractor has completed surfacing removals and mainline cross pipe work from 470th Avenue to the beginning of the exception area west of I-29. Undercut is underway between 470th Avenue to the I-29 exception area. The three cast-in-place box culverts have been completed.  

Anticipated work June 15, 2025 – July 15, 2025: The contractor will finish borrow filling between 469th Avenue and 468th Avenue by July 2025. They will continue grading work and borrow fill from 470th Avenue to the I-29 exception area and is projected to be complete with that segment in early July. Starting in early July the contractor will begin moving back west toward Estelline with mainline cross pipe work from 468th Avenue to the Peg Mucky Run Bridge exception area.
