Project Updates:

June 17, 2025:

At 5 a.m. (MT) on Saturday, June 21, 2025, the final temporary closure on Interstate 190 and exit 57 in Rapid City is scheduled to take place. Both I-190 and exit 57 are scheduled to reopen on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 8 p.m. (MT). This closure allows crews to remove the temporary pedestrian crossing and falsework under the Anamosa Street Bridge over I-190. A signed detour route will be provided for motorists around the closure utilizing exit 55 (Deadwood Avenue), exit 61 (U.S. Highway 16B), and S.D. Highway 44 (Omaha Street).

When the roadway is reopened on Sunday, June 22, 2025, two-way traffic will be placed in the northbound lanes of I-190 to continue work on the structure. This closure is part of an ongoing bridge replacement project that consists of mainline work on I-190 and replacement of the Anamosa Street Bridge.
