Asphalt Shoulder Work Rescheduled on U.S. Highway 18 in Tripp, Gregory, and Bennett Counties

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) advises motorists that work to place asphalt shoulders on U.S. Highway 18 from Dallas to Burke and Martin to Swett will be delayed until next spring due to the contractor’s revised schedule.
Evening Closure Scheduled for Interstate 229 and Benson Road DDI Project in Sioux Falls

On Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, an evening closure is scheduled at the Interstate 229 and Benson Road Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) construction project for crews to set a sign bridge. Northbound I-229 will be closed from approximately 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Railroad Crossing Closure Scheduled for S.D. Highway 46 near Beresford

On Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, the railroad crossing on S.D. Highway 46 north of the Big Sioux River will be closed for the replacement of the crossing surface.
Column Repair to Begin Under Rapid Creek on S.D. Highway 44 in Pennington County

On Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, work will begin on a column repair project under the Rapid Creek on S.D. Highway 44 located east of Rapid City on Jackson Boulevard approximately one mile southwest of Sheridan Lake Road.
Interstate 90 Lane Closures and Traffic Diversions Planned at Brandon (Exit 406)

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday Oct. 9, 2024, the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will temporarily close eastbound and westbound lanes on Interstate 90 and divert traffic through the on and off-ramps at Brandon (exit 406).
