National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) is an annual spring campaign held at the start of construction season to remind drivers to be attentive while traveling through work zones. “Work Zones are a Sign to Slow Down” is the official theme for NWZAW 2022, which will be observed the week of April 11-15.
Urban Reconstruction Project to Continue in Gettysburg

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will continue progress on the reconstruction of U.S. Highway 212 in Gettysburg. Work on the project includes grading, storm sewer, curb and gutter, sidewalk, lighting, and PCC pavement.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) states that construction is scheduled to begin on U.S. Highway 212, from just east of U.S. Highway 81 to just east of 19th Street East, on Monday, April 11, 2022.
Pavement Repair to Begin on U.S. Highway 85 Between Spearfish and Belle Fourche

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) says pavement repair work on U.S. Highway 85 south of Belle Fourche will begin Wednesday, April 6, 2022. A majority of repairs will take place north of the Redwater River Bridge, with minor repair work being completed south of the bridge.
