Project Summary:

The project will replace and upgrade all drainage structures to improve overall drainage performance. The roadway will be fully regraded, cutting hills and filling valleys to enhance sight distance for drivers. In addition, the project will widen the shoulders along this segment to improve safety and accommodate future maintenance needs. The project will also include resurfacing the roadway.

Project Updates:

May 20, 2026: 

Anticipated work in June 2026: All roadway work for the grading project is anticipated to be complete in June. Remaining off-roadway punch list items will be completed as weather allows. Asphalt paving is anticipated to begin the week following Memorial Day.

Completed work in May 2026: The contractor completed prime application and chip seal east of Interstate 29 to finalize temporary surfacing. Most punch list items have been completed. Preparation for asphalt paving began west of Interstate 29, and temporary surfacing (prime application) was completed between Interstate 29 and the Peg Mucky Run Bridge.
