Project Updates:
Sept. 3, 2026:
Anticipated Work in Sept. 2026: Underground work on the south side of U.S. Highway 18 is nearly complete. Sidewalk and boulevard construction is planned to follow. Work also continues on Indian Health Road.
Completed Work in Aug. 2026: Most of the concrete pavement has been completed, with the exception of a few intersecting streets and the area between the S.D. Highway 407 intersection and Cheyenne Avenue.

July 24, 2026:
Anticipated Work in Aug. 2026: Work behind the curb will continue to complete the sidewalk and boulevard. Construction of the new Indian Health Road alignment will begin. Work at the intersections of Indian Health Road and East Ridge will continue to complete the traffic signals.
Completed Work in July 2026: Most of the U.S. Highway 18 eastbound lane should be paved. All underground work should be near completion.
