S.D. Highway 25 from U.S. Highway 212 North 9 Miles
Project Summary:
The project will replace and upgrade drainage structures to help improve water flow in the area. Crews will also regrade the roadway, reducing hills and filling low spots to provide better visibility for travelers. In addition, the project will widen the shoulders along this segment to enhance safety.

Anticipated Work in July 2026:
Grading operations will continue from 170th Street north to 168th Street until road shaping and embankment work can be stabilized with erosion control measures and final fine grading is completed.
Once stabilization is complete, work will begin north of 168th Street. Asphalt milling and reclamation operations will continue to approximately 166th Street.
Pipe installation will continue ahead of the grading operations, and overburden material will be hauled north to adjust the roadway's vertical alignment.
Completed Work in June 2026:
Initial grading and road shaping were completed on the first 3 miles of S.D. Highway 25 north of U.S. Highway 212.
Grading, embankment construction and pipe installation progressed north to approximately 168th Street, east of Garden City.
Overburden material was hauled south to the area near 169th Street and the causeway through 170th Street.
