Urban Transit Planning Program Units

FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION (FTA) SECTION 5303 PROGRAM authorizes urban (50,000 population and over) transit planning grants to assist Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) to conduct area wide transit planning and coordination activities in South Dakota's three urbanized areas: Sioux Falls, Rapid City and North Sioux City. Provides the 80% federal share for the transit planning and coordination activities; local governments provide a 20% share.
