Structure Work Scheduled on Interstate 90 East of Mitchell

MITCHELL, S.D. – On Monday, April 28, 2025, work is scheduled to begin on the Interstate 90 eastbound and westbound structures over Riverside Road (exit 325) and Wolf Creek (one mile east of exit 350). Initial work will require lane closures for shoulder preparation in both directions prior to the bridge repairs.  

Bridge repair work will consist of approach slab replacement, bridge deck chip seals, and guardrail updates in the eastbound and westbound lanes on I-90. Lane closures will be utilized for traffic control to complete the repair work.

The contractor for the $6.3 million project is Journey Group Companies of Sioux Falls, SD. The overall project completion date is October 2025.
