Signals at Crazy Horse Memorial and Oreville Junction to be Activated in Custer

CUSTER, S.D. – Beginning Monday, May 5, 2025, traffic signals at Crazy Horse Memorial and U.S. Highway 16/S.D. Highway 244 at Oreville Junction will once again be activated for the summer tourist season. The signals were installed to ensure acceptable traffic flow during the summer months at these popular locations. 

The traffic signals are used during the busiest travel months through this area. Both signals will remain in operation until Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025. Motorists are asked to be aware of this upcoming traffic change.
