Sidewalk Construction Project to Begin in Rapid City near Interstate 90 at Exit 60

RAPID CITY, S.D. – On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, work is scheduled to begin on the sidewalks on East North Street near Interstate 90 (exit 60) in Rapid City. Work will be conducted from the Eglin Street intersection south to the I-90 (exit 60) eastbound on- and off-ramps on both the east and west sides of East North Street. 

During operations, the outside lanes of East North Street will be closed, and traffic will be directed to the inside lanes. Motorists should be prepared for suddenly slowing, stopped, and merging traffic, as well as construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lane. The work is anticipated to be substantially completed by Thursday, July 31, 2025.

The prime contractor on this $177,000 project is Complete Concrete, Inc. of Rapid City. The overall project completion date is Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.
