SDDOT Seeks Public Input on Traffic Study on U.S. Highway 212 through Redfield

REDFIELD, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will hold a public meeting open house to discuss and receive public input on a recently completed traffic study on U.S. Highway 212. The study area is 200 feet west of West 1st Street to 300 feet east of East 12th Street in Redfield.
The public meeting open house is scheduled for Monday, April 28, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The public meeting will be held at the 4-H Exhibit Building in the Spink County Fairgrounds located at 38497 174th St. in Redfield. The public meeting will be informal, allowing for one-on-one discussions with design staff. There will not be a formal presentation during the public meeting.
The purpose of this public meeting is to share information and gather input on the recently completed traffic study. The study evaluated existing and future conditions of the area. Proposed potential improvements related to safety and maintenance operations will be shared at the public meeting.
Individuals needing assistance, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), should contact the SDDOT ADA Coordinator (605-773-3540) two business days prior to the meeting in order to ensure accommodations are available. For any in-person meeting, notice is further given to individuals with disabilities that the meeting is being held in a physically accessible location.
