Project Scheduled to Begin on U.S. Highway 14A Near Deadwood

DEADWOOD, S.D. – On Monday, May 12, 2025, work is scheduled to begin on a curb and gutter, erosion repair, and grading project on U.S. Highway 14A near Deadwood and Central City. The locations of the projects are as follows:

  • In Central City between the Central Main Street and Maitland Road intersections on Highway 14A; and
  • In Deadwood at the intersection of Pine Street and Highway 14A.

Traffic control will consist of lane closures and flaggers to guide motorists through the work zone at each location. Motorists should be prepared for suddenly slowing and stopping traffic, as well as construction workers and equipment adjacent to the work zone.

The prime contractor on this $200,000 project is Tru-Form Construction Inc. of Summerset, SD. The overall completion date is Monday, June 30, 2025.
