Lane Closure Scheduled for Eastbound Interstate 90 Over Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Beginning on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the Interstate 90 eastbound passing lane on the bridge over Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls will be temporarily closed. The closure is needed for crews to place asphalt surfacing and install guardrail. 

This work is anticipated to be completed and the eastbound I-90 passing lane reopened by Thursday, July 31, 2025. 

The prime contractor for this $3.1 million project is Journey Group Companies of Sioux Falls, SD. The overall project completion date is Sept. 26, 2025.
