Inslope Repair Project Scheduled to Begin on S.D. Highway 89 in Custer Area

CUSTER, S.D. – On Monday, June 30, 2025, an inslope repair project is scheduled to begin on S.D. Highway 89 in the Custer area near Sylvan Lake. Temporary stop signals and flaggers will be used to guide travelers through the work zone. Motorists should expect delays. The inslope repair project on Highway 89 is expected be complete by Friday, Aug. 1, 2025.
The prime contractor for this $195,000 project is Mainline Contracting, Inc. of Rapid City, SD. The overall project completion date is Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.
