Informational Meeting Scheduled for South Veterans Parkway Construction Project in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.— On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), along with the City of Sioux Falls, will hold an informational meeting open to the public to discuss the upcoming construction and traffic changes as part of the South Veterans Parkway project. The meeting, which will include 2025 and 2026 construction timelines and traffic changes, is scheduled from 4:30 – 6 p.m. (CT) in the commons area of Harrisburg East Middle School located at 3001 E. Bison Trail. 

The section of new road from Cliff Avenue to Sycamore Avenue will be constructed in 2025 and 2026. As construction continues on the new South Veterans Parkway, traffic impacts will occur on Southeastern Avenue and Sycamore Avenue in 2025 and 2026. Construction of the first segment from Western Avenue to Cliff Avenue was completed in 2024. Design of the remaining two segments is underway.
