Glacial Lakes and Whetstone Valley Rest Areas Temporarily Closing for Annual Cleaning

WATERTOWN, S.D. - The Glacial Lakes (Rosholt) Rest Area on Interstate 29 will be temporarily closing on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 6 a.m. CT for annual spring cleaning. The rest area will reopen to the public on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 5 p.m. CT.

The Whetstone Valley (Wilmot) Rest Area on I-29 will be temporarily closing on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 6 a.m. CT for annual spring cleaning. The rest area will reopen to the public on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 5 p.m. CT.

Travelers are encouraged to find other accommodations during the closure.
