Closure Planned on Deadwood Avenue from Calamity Road to Meade County

RAPID CITY, S.D. – On Monday, June 2, 2025, a closure is scheduled for Deadwood Avenue from Calamity Road to Meade County until Monday, Sept. 29, 2025. The closure will allow construction crews to begin phase two of the reconstruction of Deadwood Avenue from one-half mile north of Interstate 90 to the Meade County line.
Local traffic will be allowed from one-half mile north of I-90 to Calamity Road. Traffic is advised to use an alternate route.
The primary contractor for this $2.70 million project is Western Construction, from Rapid City, SD. The overall project completion date is Friday, Oct. 17, 2025.
