Proposed Spring Load Restrictions for 2022 Posted

Under the authority of SDCL 32-22-24, Highway Maintaining Authorities may restrict loads anytime from February 15 to April 30 to protect their highways from break-up during the spring thaw. A map of state proposed spring load restrictions and a list of county roads are posted at https://sdtruckinfo.sd.gov/spring-load-restrictions/ and on the SD511 website at https://sd511.org/.
SDDOT Seeks Public Input Into Proposed Bridge Replacement Project on Anamosa Street over I-190 in Rapid City

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will hold a public meeting open house on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. MT to inform area residents of the proposed Bridge Replacement Project on Anamosa Street over I-190 and resurfacing on I-190 north of the North Street Interchange.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in collaboration with the city of Sioux Falls, the Sioux Falls MPO, and the Federal Highway Administration, will hold a public open house meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at Lincoln High School (2900 South Cliff Ave.) to inform area residents of the beginning of the Interstate 229 Exit 6 Interchange Modification Study.
