SDDOT Snowplow Naming Contest open for public entries - Dakota News Now

On average, the SDDOT will receive 700 submissions from classrooms, businesses, and the general population.

Multiple entries are accepted and encouraged via the online form on the SDDOT website. Once the contest closes in December, SDDOT staff will vote for their favorite entries.

In January, the SDDOT will officially announce one winner of the snowplow name within the 12 geographic areas across the state.

Since the Naming Contest began, over 60 plows have been officially named and remain in active service.
