KELO: I-229 southbound to I-29 to close nightly starting Tuesday
Interstate 229 southbound to Interstate 29 will be closed nightly beginning Tuesday, August 11, through Friday, August 14.
South Dakota DOT says the placement is necessary for the planned grider placement of the bridge over Interstate 229.
The closure will begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday, and traffic will be restored by 6 a.m. each of the following mornings. Southbound Interstate 229 will be directed to northbound Interstate 29 at exit 77, 41st Street, then routed back to southbound Interstate 29. All drivers are advised to follow all posted signs and arrows through the work zone.
