Part of a major intersection in Pierre remains closed to accommodate utility work being done on the Euclid Avenue/Highway 1889 reconstruction project.

Morris, Inc. Project Superintendent Matt Radke says the southern part of the intersection of Euclid and Fourth Street will be closed for about two more weeks.

Radke says it’s critical that semis and other large vehicles not try to come through the work area on Euclid Avenue/Highway 1889 while the Fourth Street intersection is being worked on.

For “regular” size vehicles, Fourth Street is open at Euclid, but to get to it, you have to come from the west or the north. Access to businesses at the intersection of Euclid and Fourth Street is being maintained during the partial intersection closure.
