Construction Starting on Westbound Interstate 90 Bridges over Interstate 29 and Silver Creek

 SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Starting today, Oct. 22, the South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin high surface friction treatment work in the westbound passing lane of the Interstate 90 bridge over Interstate 29 and the westbound driving lane of Interstate 90 bridge over Silver Creek. 

The high friction surface treatment work will take one week to complete.  

Westbound Interstate 90 traffic will be reduced to a single lane through the work area.  

The $1.3 million project will install a high friction surface treatment and durable pavement markings to various routes in the Sioux Falls Area including Interstate 90 westbound to the I-29 southbound on-ramp, I-29 northbound and southbound structures at mile marker 84.92 over the railroad, and the I- 29 structure over 12th Street.  

The prime contractor for this project is Louis-Company of Lees Summit, Missouri.
