S.D. Highway 44 - Scenic to Conata

PROJECT COMPLETE



Project Summary:

Project work consists of asphalt resurfacing for all 20 miles of the eastbound and westbound lanes on S.D. Highway 44 east of Scenic to Conata. There will also be spot grading done throughout roughly three miles of the project. This will create long-term sections of gravel road, totaling up to 1 mile. There will be no detours in effect, however motorists should expect delays and it is recommended to find an alternate route. This project will create a much smoother and safer road for those traveling on S.D. Highway 44 through the Badlands.
