Maple/Park Street Corridor Study in Minnehaha County
FINAL REPORTReason for Study:The Maple/Park street corridor from Veterans Parkway to SD11 is a connection between Sioux Falls and Brandon in Minnehaha County South Dakota. The corridor is a gravel road that is experiencing increased traffic causing safety concerns. The study will develop a plan to prepare for safety issues, additional growth and access.
Study Limits:The study limits are Maple/Park Street from Veterans Parkway to SD11.
The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) has a long history of public involvement in the development of transportation plans and projects. The 2005 passage of the Safe, Accountable, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) requires a public involvement process. In accordance with the Department's public involvement plan document, the Maple/Park Street Corridor Study strives to keep the public involved with the study as much as possible.
Public Meetings:
Public meetings for the study will occasionally be scheduled to collect public input, provide information and answer questions. These public meetings will be held in Brandon.

Stakeholder Group Meetings
Residents, Businesses and Schools along the corridor often have input unique to the corridor that can be more thoroughly discussed outside of the public meeting format. As such, stakeholder group meetings consisting of people, businesses and schools impacted by corridor improvements will be held throughout the study period.
