Lyman and Tripp Counties - S.D. Highway 49


Project Summary:

This much-anticipated project on SD 49 from the SD44/SD49 Junction north 25.6 miles to the SD47/SD49 Junction consists of repair of several bump/heave areas, pipe repair and a new asphalt paving overlay.    Traffic will be maintained throughout the project at all times.

Project Timeline: 

Work should start in April 2022 and be completed by November 2022.

Project Updates: 

Previous Work Completed: The contractor mobilized equipment to the project. Cattle pass repairs began on April 11th, 2022. Loiseau is working on six regrade sections throughout the project. BX Civil is working on guardrail and barrier wall removal.

Anticipated Work: There will be continued work on the regrade sections along with structure work. Pipe crews will mobilize in the week of April 25th to begin on pipework.
